Pupils in year 10 were offered the opportunity to enter the Holy Cross’ annual Theology, Philosophy and Ethics essay competition. We are delighted to announce that Georgia Murphy won first place and Anastasia Mertena won second place. Holy Cross were “impressed with how maturely she was able to handle a variety of theological, philosophical and ethical material” and praised her for “writing with such academic panache”. They also said that Anastasia’s essay on trusting your instructs when making ethical decisions “drew upon an interesting sociological study and questioned the reliability of feelings in decision making”. Well done to both girls!
